Monkey business

For the first time, biologists have documented gorillas in the wild using simple tools, such as poking a stick in a swampy pool of water to check its depth. This is seen as a vast improvement over the gorilla's penchant for sporadically flinging poo. Scientists involved in the research celebrated today by discarding the life sized diapers they wore as protection.

Now that the gorillas can test the water before going in, biologists expect the animals to use the international ape symbol for "no way, that's fucking deep".
