Let's just give them all an iPod nano and call it a day...
The Vatican is attempting to ban homosexuals from the Roman Catholic priesthood, sparking a fiery debate. My solution? Have a Vatican softball tournemant, then hand out keychains commemorating the event. No matter what occurs when the situation is resolved, at least no priest can go without saying they had a kickass time when the game goes twelve extra innings at an astounding 0-0 tie.
In what may certainly be greater then the future conversations of who has the more awesome priestchain (softball tourny '05!), the Newsday article contains this passage:
Experts in sexual abuse also expressed skepticism.
"You can't really screen for homosexuality," said Dr. Martin P. Kafka, associate clinical professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. "Unless they're going to do visual sexual arousal testing, I suspect that all this is going to do is drive this underground."
The suggestion of using the penile plethysmography is ridiculous as that device is mostly used for sexual predator cases. The PP (sorry) tests are also not sufficently accurate and are said to be unreliable for predicting sexual behavior.
Someone should send copies of "Angels in the Outfield" to the Vatican.
